Chrishell Stause (Amanda Dillon) from ABC ‘s “All My Children” poses with her new VOi! Cases at the 136th Kentucky Derby.
Widely known as the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports,” the Kentucky Derby has also become the masterful centerpiece to a sparkling socialite weekend of star studded galas benefitting various charities. Over the decades, the derby has been an attraction for big name celebrities ranging from Hollywood actors and producers to music industry moguls, musicians, a host of sports icons, and of course, the AMAZING horses.
With some roots from Louisville, VOi! was cordially invited by STYLE ICON founder Andre’ Wilson to come down to the 136th Annual Kentucky Derby and be a part of the celebrity magic. The STYLE ICON Luxury Gifting Suite was a great opportunity to share the gift of VOi! with a host of celebrities like rap legends Salt-n-Pepa (Cheryl James and Sandy Denton), American Idol soulster Rubin Studdard, baseball icon Barry Bonds, the famous smoke monster, “Lost” series star Terry O’Quinn, and the unforgettable hype-man Nick Ferrera (aka Rinickulous ). All of the stars were glad to show off their new VOi! Swag, and a host of them were delighted to leave their mark on our collection of celeb- autographed cases. In addition, we were also introduced to a few up and coming brands, such as makeup from Lip-Stix ReMix’s Jill Quillin and the coolest sports watches from Deuce Brand, Gary Hughes. Not only was the Suite event swanky, but it was also for a good cause, because a portion of the event proceeds were donated to The March of Dimes.
After hours, we mingled at the ”Julep Ball” with Joey Fatone, Jawanna Kidd and other celebs, along with our friend and Louisville promoter, Gerald Palmer. We concluded the evening with night scenery overlooking the Ohio River at a private event hosted by Conner Custom Jewelers. As this 136th Annual Kentucky Derby goes down in history, we’re looking forward to next years’ event. Hopefully, then we can even make it to the actual races.
